Not such an early start today as the bus wasn't picking us up until 0850. We left Kaikoura and made our way to Nelson with a couple of stops en route. The majority of the drive was winding roads up, down and around the hills and mountains. Made everyone feel quite sick but the views we got made it worth it.
When we got to Nelson we checked into the hostel Kiwi booked for us, Fern Lodge. After getting changed we decided to do the hike to the most central point in New Zealand. The walk was really steap, up an 147m high hill and it was baking hot which didn't help me out lol but made it! Looking out one way we were looking over Nelson and to Abel Tasman National Park and the other way we got views of the hills and valleys, it was great and glad we did it.
After walking back down we went for a walk around the city, though it is more like a town before coming back to the hostel who were doing a dinner deal, roast beef, roast potatoes, veggies, yorkshire pudding, pumkin and them chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert, all for only $12!! We were both craving a good roast so treated ourselves and it was delicious, loved it!
