As soon as the fireworks ended, with a fantastic waterfall of fireworks off the harbour bridge, everyone started charging back towards the gate, the race was on for the public transport home! We were lucky and found the 333 bus to get us back to Bondi.

We got back to the apartment and both rung home. It was really weird as they were still in 2008!! We were calling from the future lol. We went to bed around 3.30am, we were so tired. We both slept really well and right through to 1330!!!!

We just chilled out for the rest of the day, it was great watching the fireworks back on the news and being able to say we were there.
