Helen woke up today with lips like Leslie Ash's trout pout and puffy eyes. We had a last minute change of plans after talking with the other groups as we learnt that everyone was heading back to Namche Bazar while we were only going back to Tengboche.

We decided to head back to Namche Bazar (better hotel! And clean toilets) the result is that two days of trekking was crammed into one and it was evident that our guide and porter were not happy. Oops.

Both of us now noticing our fitness levels as we (especially Helen) is not stopping every 2 minutes to get her breath back. A week ago, Helen could not go up a hill without getting out of breath but today she was like a Duracell battery.

We were so relieved when we arrived at Namche Bazar just before it went dark. A rather uneventful day otherwise. Here's hoping we can get an earlier flight back to Kathmandu so we can have a hot shower and a proper bed.
