We've been sampling the local delights of Chian Mai over the past couple of days! The night bazaar is enormous! We had some delicious 'Northern Sausage' and banana pancake there as well as a foot massage! Today we've been to visit Dr Fish! This involved putting our feet in a tank full of tiny fish which come along and basically hoover your feet getting rid of all of the dead skin! It was a very strange experience and we spent most of the time laughing at the sensation! I'm not sure you get used to it!
Yesterday we went on a cookery course with some of the people from our trek. We had trhe weirdest guy teach us to cook, his name was Mr Visutt and I think he was actually mad! I can't even begin to describe what he's like in this blog but he definitely kept us entertained! I now know how to make yelloe curry, spring rolls, pad thai, hot and sour prawn soup and steamed fish with lemon (getting the fresh fish from the market wasn't pleasant - we had to pick the live fish and watch as they hit it over the head and gut it! (I didn't actually watch them!!))., I even have a certificate to say so!
It's out last night in Chiang Mai tonight, we're heading off to Chiang Rai tomorrow on a 4 hour bus journey. My phone has deceided that it dfoesn't want to top up so I only have emails and facebook to communicate at the mo!!!
