Sorry, the dates are all screwed up on this blog but the order of the places we went to are right!!!

Next stop on our Australian adventure was Mooloolaba, we couldn't even pronounce the name of the place! We got laughed at by the Aussies when we tried!! Mooloolaba was also a small town like Noosa but it had a bit of character. We checked ourselves into a hostel and decided to try our hand at surfing! The place we were staying rented out surfboards for free so we thought it'd be rude not to! I'd tried it before and hadn't been too bad at it so was willing to give it a try. We should have looked at the state of the boards as a sign that it wasn't going to be good though! Most of them were missing fins and one of them was actually split in ha;f!!

We got down to the beach and the first thing we saw was a sign saying 'Caution - Dumping Waves'. We didn't really think much of it and decided to try surfing anyway. It really wasn't a fun experience!! I understood what the term 'Dumping Waves' meant as soon as I got in the water! The waves just break and crash straight into the sand, taking you with them! There's no point even attempting to surf, you can't even stand up in the sea without being taken under! I lasted about 2 minutes before deciding that it wasn't for me!! We decided to make animals out of sand on the beach instead!

We got a free bbq in the hostel we were staying in again too!
