Today We had a very busy day but also a slow and relaxing day. We finally got to sleep in (for us that's anything past 7am these days) and walked from our hotel into central Paris.
On our walk we stopped at Angelina's to try the best hot chocolate in the world (according to our top deck leader) luckily we only got one to share coz it's seriously rich. Imagine making brownie mix and just not cooking it. It was like thick melted chocolate but still very yum.
We then walked up to the Arc de Triumph along the main shopping strip for a quick stop before heading to the Eiffel Tower.
We had booked lunch at the Eiffel tower thanks to Janette and Duncan for our lovely wedding gift and had wine and a 3 course meal up on the 1st floor. We then walked it off and took the steps to the second floor and spent some time up there.
After lunch we walked back home via Napoleons tomb and enjoyed the sunshine.
Tonight we meet up with a friend of mine who lives in Paris and went to dinner. After dinner once it was dark we visited the observation tower and looked out over all of Paris by night. We watched the Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour and had a great time.
