June 3rd (Wednesday) - Day 94 - Coffs Harbour
Got the bus etc etc and checked in, then walked down to the harbour. Whales had been going by that morning so we went to see if we could see any. There was a nice little walk out to a huge rock at the end of the harbour. We spent a good half hour looking out to sea but could not see any whales. We then had the long walk back and the even longer walk into the main town area. The place was small but really spread out. We'd been told to watch the "state of origin" rugby league game so we found a place showing that and watched the game. It was an amazing game; Queensland vs. New South Wales. As we were in NSW most the people were cheering them on but I was on the QLD side! QLD won convincingly. What was going to be a quiet night out turned into quite a late one…
