April 11th (Saturday) - Day 42 - Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpar
Guess what? Not a 5am start but a 6am start lol. After our hour lay in we got on our bus with two miserable old people and drove the 4 hours to KL. They dropped us at our hostel and we checked in. The first thing we needed to do was to sort out our bus to Singapore. We went to the bus station and were jumped on by loads of touts. We picked one at random and sorted it all out. Next we wanted to go to the twin towers. You can go up to the middle walk way for free. We got to a huge shopping centre which is attached and got some lunch. Then we went to get tickets but they were sold out for the day so left disappointed. We took some pics and went to the park. Shock horror it rained. We thought we'd go up the KL tower. The 4th largest tower in the world so we jumped back on the tube. When we arrived it was raining harder so gave up on that idea. The only thing we could do in the rain was go to more malls. Ended up in this hue place playing funky house so loud (there is one person reading this who would think shopping and funky house is there idea of heaven ;) - you know who you are lol). I soon got bored of shopping so we went back to China town and ended up getting some dinner in a reggae bar. They ripped me off for drinks as they had a price for ladies (cheap) and a price for men (not so cheap).
April 12th (Sunday) - Day 43 - Kuala Lumpar
Determined to get up the towers we arrived at 9:15am to get a ticket. It was already sold out :( disapointed we got some breaky and went and ate it in the park. It did not rain :)!! We then went to the KL tower and it was still dry.We went all the way to the top and the views were stunning. You could see the whole of KL. They had binoculars and you could read the number plates off cars miles away or see peoples faces in swimming pools. We spent about an hour looking around. Attached to the same ticket was a mini zoo and a snow area which were both rubbish lol. Went back to China town for lunch then went for a walk. Saw the old train station, the observery and lots of random things. Then we got to a big park but all the gates were locked. I decided to sneak in anyway. Could not see anybody so was starting to get a little worried. Finally we saw some people. Sarah saw a sign to a "Moose deer" park. The dear were tiny and I could not work out were the word moose came from. They also had a big enclosure of normal deer; who were all "up to stuff". On the way out it became clear... Sarah had read the sign wrong. It was in fact mouse deer!!! Had a long walk back in the rain and ate dinner in a road side place watching the rain.
