Greetings from Puno!! Yesterday and today we visited Lake Titikaka, it was so much fun!! We visited Taquille island first, and saw lots of traditional dancing in the Plaza de Armas. Then we had a homestay with a Peruvian family, they´re so poor, they have electricity but no mod cons, and the houses are tiny, really small concrete type blocks, yet they cope so well and seem so happy!! I survived the Inca Trail!!!! Whoop!! It´s amazing!! My legs felt like they were going to drop off but it was definately worth it!! Day 2 is the hardest, where you pass the highest point, 4,200 metres, reassuringly, its called dead womans pass...ha ha!! Made it though, then the rest seemed pretty easy in comparison!! Machu Piccu is AMAZING, its absoutely beautiful, and so interesting to hear of the history, tha Spanish never found it so its an unspoilt Inca ruin...
