And so onto Vientienne!! We met a couple from Essex in our Minibus down. We went to find a guesthuse with them but they were a bit more fussy than us (we ended up in a total s*** hole - $6 a night for the room though, and we were only there one night!! We made the most of our limited time there - we went to see the famount Wat That Luang monument (think that was the hottest I have EVER been!!), which is very impressive I must say, and then we ate dinner by the Mekong. There was a couple of groovy little cafe type places over the road from our guesthouse which were nice. However, has to be said, overall not our favourite place. I'm glad we went and all, but it's no Luang Prabang!!!
