And so onto Vientienne!! We met a couple from Essex in our Minibus down. We went to find a guesthuse with them but they were a bit more fussy than us (we ended up in a total s*** hole - $6 a night for the room though, and we were only there one night!! TUUUUUBIIINNNGGGGGG!!! The pictures say it all - booze, rope swings, tubing!! Hilarious - we got sooooo hammered we fell asleep at about dinner time (after somehow making it back to our guesthouse, lol, after Jim was sick in the river!!! ha ha!!) Crazy little town in beutiful surroundings. Family Guy and Friends are on everywhere!! Not the most traditional side of Laos - but it is an arf fun!!!

And so onto Laos!!!! OMG did we LOVE Luang Prabang!! We sacrificed an extra night in vientienne for an extra night here and we're so glad we did!! There were so many lovely bars and resturaunts - Utopia was one in particular we loved - you could drink overlooking the river.
