Hello everyone!!!
Well, we are now back in Townsville at Sam and Shaun's. Basically, we were staying in a caravan park in Ayr and got jobs on a farm zucchini picking, but the farm was about the same distance from the park as it would be from Townsville, so we have moved back here as we missed Sam and Shaun lots!! It is really hard work, and we are both so sore, but i think it will really help staying in a proper bed and having a bubble bath and things. We have worked three days there so far, the longest of which was nine and a half hours on tuesday, but yesterday Nikki only worked a half day as she couldnt stand the sight of another zucchini! Im not sure if she is going to go back, but we have the day off today so she can make a decision.
Ayr was a nice place. Not really much there, but we met a few people and had lots of fun. The first night there we met two Aussie guys in our van park called Brett and Luke who had a van called Kip, who were lots of fun. They took us out and showed us where to go in Ayr. We managed to get all of our drinks bought for us, and it was such a mad night as they were so crazy. They were even up on the dancefloor before us!! The next day, they took us to the horse races!! (Well, it was too expensive to get in so we went to the drive through bottle shop and then sat out by the fence to watch instead!!!)
That day we also met some new neighbours, Ben, Nick and Jess who had a van called Bruce. They were all very nice and the guys got the same job as us at the beginning so we shared one van, but Nick quit after the first day, and they have now left so it might just be me left from our little zucchini picking group!! Never mind. Yesterday as Ben, Nikki and I had worked so hard, we managed to persuade Nick to have dinner ready for us when we got home. It was the nicest spaghetti bolognaise! We are so cheeky!!

Hi everyone. Natalie just asked me to post a message for her to let everyone know they are OK. They have now moved on to Ayr and have found a job picking zuccinis (corgettes). They will probably be out of contact for a while as internet access is not that easy to find, but they will try to keep the message board up to date as often as they can. They will probably be at Ayr for a couple of weeks and then they may be moving on ....... or maybe not ...... depends how they feel I expect!!!! Thanks to everyone for keeping in touch with Natalie and Nik and a big thank you to all the relatives in Aus for making their stay so enjoyable.

hello! thank you so much for my birthday pressies, and the card and letter which i loved reading! what a lovely thing to do! it was also lovely to talk to you yesterday! i had a really nice day! we are off bowling today with a few friends from work so that will be a giggle me thinks! im super excited about coming over! its like five weeks away! AHHHH! cant believe it! its all done and paid for now so all i need to do is shop!!!!!!! really looking forward to seeing you both! anyways, better go get ready for a thrashing! (do you remember the last time we went bowling? hope i have improved a little!) love you lots xxx

You are more than welcome to stay with us anytime (as is Nickski) We loved having you here - and I loved being able to take you places and showing you the sights of Townsville. I know all your Aussie relatives loved seeing you & catching up as well.

Well, later on today we leave Townsville to go south to Ayr to hopefully get some fruit picking work. I will keep you all updated when i can but i may not be able to get online for a while, so dont panic if you dont hear from me for a few days. Im fine!! Just want to say a huge thank you to Sam and Shaun, and the rest of the family for putting up with us for so long! You have all been so lovely looking after us and showing us the sights. We dont want to leave, but we will come back up to go out to the reef soon. Thanks also for the many many cd's you have given us!! They will last us until we get home i think!!! We will turn you into Backstreet Boys fans!!!!!!
Anyway, hope everyone is well, and i will be in touch when i can!!

Just wanted to let you know how lucky I am to have you as a friend. Sorry that this is how I am telling you, but you know me I am not too good at saying how I feel. Your made my 21st so memoriable (I can still even remember the day after the cocktails!) I had so many lovely suprises, and I am still in shock that you actually have given me the chance to swim with dolphins in the wild. You really are the best Nat!!! I wouldn't want to be travelling with anyone else, we get on so well together, and I am going to miss you so much when we finally get back to Heathrow!! (So for now, I am not going to mention that again for a long time). So THANK YOU, for making my day!!!!

Hi everyone!
Well, guess what, we may have fruit picking work lined up. It's just south of Townsville so we may be leaving at the end of the week. I will keep you posted. We have spent the last few days finishing Violet. She is so cool. She now has a pink ceiling and curtains. Hopefully we have increased our selling price too. Check out my photo albums!!
Well, Nikki's birthday yesterday and it was so much fun. I got up at 5am and decorated the house with balloons and banners, and even graffitied violet's windows! After opening cards and pressies, (by the way, she loved her swimming with dolphins voucher i gave her!) we went to the aquarium and the domed Imax theatre which was really fun. We then had fish and chips on the Strand and suprised her by having the whole family meet us there! After having a rest in the afternoon, we went out to dinner at Sizzler. It was an all you can eat thing, so we all ate way too much! Then the staff brought out the cake we had snuck in and we embarrassed her by singing happy birthday!!!
After dinner, Nikki and I went into town for a few cocktails! It was a great day and i think she had a really good time. Still taking my pills, but tonsilitus wasn't going to stop me partying on Nikki's 21st birthday!!!
