Hello everyone!!! Well, we have done so much!! Jeni is now with us and we had so much fun catching up with her and finding out about Eastenders, ER etc etc! We spent a few days with her in Brisbane and showed her the city. It was good fun and we did a walking tour of the city and had a lot of fun there. We were sad to leave as it was beginning to feel like home! Anyway, we went up to Rainbow Beach and stayed there in a campsite which was out in the bush, but nice. It was a lovely sleepy little town, and we painted our own boomerangs there which was great. We then did a two day tour on Fraser Island which is definately one of the highlights of our trip so far. We swam in Lake Wabby and McKenzie and they were amazing. You had to walk through the rainforest and up huge sand dunes to get to them, but it was well worth it. We were in a 4 wheel drive coach and we drove all the way along 75 mile beach. We also went to central station, where they use to do the logging, on rainforest walks, to the shipwreck the Maheno, and to Indian Head and the champagne pools which were large rockpools you can swim in. Also, while we were there, we saw wild dolphins on the crossing, five wild dingos, one of which was at our resort!, and loads of whales, got some great videos of the whales breaching! The resort was really nice too and it was a fantastic trip. Yesterday, we went to Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo which was great! Jeni held a koala and she loved seeing all the Aussie animals. We had a great day there, and there was even some little black and white cows and i managed to stroke one!! Im proud of myself as that is the one animal that scares me!!! Im conquering my fears!!!!! Today, I am writing to you from Surfers Paradise, and yes, there are hunky surfer dueds everywhere! I have a feeling we are going to like it here! We are in a really posh campsite with lovely pools, with a water slide!!!!!!! And hot tubs and a bar etc etc so we will be here a few days. Ruth is OK...I spoke to her just a few minutes ago.....very up beat about what is happening in her life....it's good to feel her happiness.
I hope they catch those faceless, cowardly bast......!!!!!!s! Although I suspect they won't.
I feel sorry for the genuine muslims who are disgusted that these terrorists use their religion as an excuse for killing the 'infadel'.
2 weeks to go to the end of term. We have just finished the busiest week of the year and will be 'winding down' now.
Looking forward to our family holiday in 3 weeks time in the dales. I hope I can take nanny to some of the watery sights that we visited in February.
The musical the children performed two weeks ago ....'A Glint of Gold' (Egyptian based)....was absolutely brilliant. So many parents have commented favourably about it....of course, little Jessica and Rebecca were in it, as well as Lorenzo! What stars!
I assume Jenny arrived safely and that you are all having a great time together in Violet.
Anyway.....keep on truckin' as they say.

The bathroom is turning into a nightmare [Imay never wash again] and I still have my bedroom to decorate, at this time Violet is very appealing, but Iam sure all will be fine in the passage of time. I was at Stourlea House when you rang on fathers day but by the time got to the phone you had rung off, pissed again you know what it is like with the wine flowing I never drank until I started going to spetisbury. Well the bathroom calls so I had better get on with the work, keep having a wonderful time.

Hello everyone. Thought I should put a message on here as it has been a while since I have. Well, still in Bribane getting very excited as we are waiting for Jeni to arrive. Spoke to her today at 4:30am England time, when she was leaving! She sounds a bit excited! Cant wait, we will pick her up tomorrow evening from the airport! YIPEE!!!!!! Well, Nik and I have been making the most of the city while we wait. We have explored almost all of it now and are really getting use to being here and starting to know our way around. We have, of ourse, been shopping in the city, been to the riverside markets, found a Scottish market where everyone was in kilts and playing bagpipes! Very random. We have also been to the Queensland Museum which was really good, and been into the city at night which is so pretty with all the lights. Its really nice being here. Also, they have lots of ferries which go up and down the river to various places and you get some great views so we have done that a few times too. We are still in the same campsite which feels like home now, and we have moved onto another site where we could put up Tessa the tent and still have Violet the van next to us. We are all ready for you Jeni!! Well, I hope you are all well, its mine and Nikkis last night together for ages so we have bought a cheap cask of wine and plan to have a good time tonight!!!! Hi Nats - thought I had better post a message after our conversation this morning. Glad you are still enjoying things and you have found a good campsite. Sorry to hear it is getting so cold at night though. Hope you bought sleeping bags to match your decor!!!! You may need to buy Jeni some ugg slippers as well! Just to let you know also that I got your postard from the Whitsundays earlier in the week Nats - sounds fantastic - certainly made me a bit envious. Anyway will send you an Email over this weekend.
