Hello yet again. Hope you are all well. Just wanted to let you all know that we are in sunny Brisbane!! YIPEE! We are waiting for you Jeni and we are in a really nice campsite. You will like it a lot. Bring a sleeping bag though as it has got really really cold at night, We have been to so many places in the last few days, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Noosa, 1770 etc etc etc. We have seen so many lovely places, but i wont bore you all with that now. We went into the city today and are loving it! Its nice to be in a busy place for a change, although we both love being in the country. Anyway, just to let you know that we are ok, and of course still having loads of fun. We will be hopefully working until Jeni comes over now, and we have seen a few things that look good, so keep your fingers and toes crosed for us. Hope all of you are ok, haven't heard from lots of you for a while. I expect you are all out enjoying that rare British sun! Thanks for calling Sam and Shaun! We miss you lots and lots!! Thanks for the emails Mandy and Ells but sorry I havent got enough time at the moment to reply. Will soon i promise. Speak to you all soon hopefully.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the messages. Lovely to hear from you Mandy and no, Im totally not shocked by that news!! Suprise suprise! Jeni, cant wait!! 2 weeks to go!! Yipee! We are really excited about seeing you. We are about 280k away from Brisbane now!!!!! Well, we are having fun, except we have had rain for the last couple of days. Apparently it is a rain storm that will last a few days still. Boo Hoo! Reminds us of home and makes us miss our rainy home country! Hope you are all well. Hello to you all from Airlie Beach!!!
We have had the most fantastic time here! We arrived on thursday and found a really nice campsite which is huge, it even has a pool, mini golf, and tennis courts! Our van site was surrounded by palm trees and really nice. On friday, we found out that the scouser girls from our Bangkok tour were also in Airlie, so we met up with them and had a good night out in the local bars. It was nice to see them and catch up. Next day, we went on a road trip in the surrounding area and went to Cedar Falls which was a huge waterfall in the middle of the bush. It was really nice, and we even climbed up the side of it and looked over the top. Daddy - you would have been proud!! We then went on to Conway Beach which was huge and nobody there! We could see the Whitsundays in the background. After lunch, and taking silly photos on the kids play area, we went on to Dingo beach which was down a really bumpy unsealed road. It was a secluded bay and so beautiful.
Well, yesterday was the best day ever! We got a helicopter flight from Airlie airport out to Hamilton Island. Nik and I were the only ones on it at this point. I sat in the front next to the pilot so i could film the trip. We then picked up two people and went flying over the Whitsunday Islands. It was amazing. We flew over Whitehaven bay which you see in all the photos and it was incredible. Then we went out over the blue sea to the reef, spotting a baby whale on the way. We flew over Hardy reef and it was the most amazing thing i have ever seen! We saw sharks and turtles too. We also flew over the famous heart reef which really does look like a heart! We then landed on a platform, and got a boat over to reef world where we went snorkelling with the huge fish. One, a big cod called wally, was bigger than me and Nik put together!!! There was also a guy on a boat there who had a cat!!! How random to see a cat on The Great Barrier Reef! The reef was amazing. After a yummy lunch, we went on a semi sub to look at the reef a bit deeper. We then got a cruise back through the islands to see them in a different way. When we got back and were having a glass of wine by Violet, i looked up to the starry sky and saw a shooting star! The perfect end to the most perfect day ever!!

Just to let everyone know, I have spoken with Natalie and Nik this morning. They have had the best day ever. Got a helicopter ride at Airlie Beach out to the Whitsundays and the reef - fantastic scenery and even managed to spot a whale. They went out to a floating pontoon known as Reef World and were able to go snorkelling with the fishies. What an experience! (not that I am jealous or anything!!!) They have taken loads of photos and will pop them on to the website when they can. They are now heading off to Mackay, where they are hoping to be able to access the internet and a there will be a few more payphones around.

Found the tent!....sorry....it somehow got stashed away in an unusual place!

I love Violet [lovely bumpers] you must send a photograph of Violet and Kip romping in the Outback [please remember that I have led a very sheltered life] so just something modest.
At this moment I am ripping the bathroom apart, and as with old things [do not even go down that road] nothing is going to plan, Ithink I am on plan W at this time, still it will beat sitting in that tin bath in front of the fire when it is finnished. I will be taking a break next weekend, I am visiting Andi and Mark, if the weather is good I will BBQ, and get Mark to take some photos,
I have to stop, as my sister in the US is trying to contact me via webcam this is our first try.

Hello again! Just to update you all, i saw the inside of my first and hopefully last Aussie hospital yesterday. Dont worry, Im fine! I went back to the doctor as Im still not feeling well after finishing my tablets for tonsilitus, and he said he thinks i have just caught another infection, but i had to go to the hospital for a blood test to make sure it wasnt glandular fever! Im sure its not but its better to be safe! Tonight Sam and Shaun took us out to cactus jacks for dinner and suprised us by having the whole family there too! It was lovely to see them all but sad to say goodbye. I want to say thank you to you all over here for looking after us and taking us places. Its very much appreciated, and so lovely to spend time with you all. We will both miss you all so much! We were also given some little pressies, earrings from Annette and Barry which are gorgeous, and PINK handbags from Sam and Shaun with lots of goodies inside, and a lovely card each too. Thank you so much!! Anyway, Nikki and I head off to Airlie Beach and the Whitsundays tomorrow. We have decided to head south and see if we can find work along the way. I will update you all as much as possible, but we may not have access to the internet regularly so dont panic if you dont hear from us! Hope you are all well.

Hello again!
Just a quick message to say that Sam and Shaun are just the best!!!! Last night after dinner at Sizzler, as we were so sore, Sam and Shaun completely pampered us!! We were told to get into our toggs (swimming costumes to us Brits!) and we went to the bathroom, and they had run a spa bath for us with loads of bubbles, and candles around the bath! When we got in and were bubbling away, we were brought a glass of malibu and coke each too! It was the most perfect time! Then, after our lovely spa, we were each given a massage by Sam which helped our aching muscles so much. We then got into bed and fell asleep listening to chill out music! It was the best night, and I want to say thank you so much to them for eveything they have done for us! Love you both! P.S. Look at the photos page under zucchini picking for the funny photos!!!!!!!
