23rd - We arrived at Hervey Bay to swap buses, and we had a soya sauce leakage in our food bag so had to ditch a load of that!! Then my amazing flip flops broke - they've been through everything with me...I wanted to cry!! So comfy!! We got on another bus to Rainbow beach, much smaller but really nice place. Brought some new flip flops (weren't as gd as my oldies though)! Beach was amazing and the resort was good (dingos). We went to a huge sand blow (sand dune) which was sooo massive!! We then had dinner and drinks!

24th - We had an early start for Fraser Island, got on a bus and onto the boat where we saw Dolphins!! Crossing didn't take long but we had to wait a while to switch buses. The 75 mile beach was amazing, with lots of jellies washed up everywhere. So clear though that I saw another reef shark near the edge. The bigger bus we got on had about 50 people on which was shame but we knew 2 people and made friends with 2 others. We got off the bus to walk to Wallby Lake...in the middle of what looked like a desert..it was a right mission!! Lots of sand, hills, heat, dunes and over the edge of one was the small lake - was worth the walk though. Was full of catfish. Lunch - Buffet -woooo!! We then went to centro - which had lots of impressive trees and a pure water creek. The guide was pretty cool, although he was fairly old he sure could walk faster than all of us, and he had some really cool little poems about his life and Fraser Island. Nice touch. We then headed to Lake Mckenzie which is 95% silicone sand (so really pure) - slightly less than Whithaven however the water was fresh water so you could go in without stinger suits, no stingy eyes therefore it won!! was so nice!! Back for a mexican buffet and some drinks ... CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

25th opened presents and cards from parents and bf :) we woke up at 4.30am to go watch the sunrise on the beach, and to look out for Dingos- saw some in the distance. Then went back to bed!! Followed by an english fry :) We then went on a mini aeroplane flight over the island which was fab, I made co-pilot position not that he let me drive!! We then drove up the beach to a famous shipwreck and then went to the pinnacles, the most easterly point of australia! Saw some manta rays from the cliffs because the water was so clear. Amazing views of the beach! Saw some pipis - lil shells that dig into the sand. We then went to Eli Creek - really cool, nice swim. We then went back to the resort and had another long wait for another bus!! We then went to the beach for a bbq with some people we met on the trip, had a slow start so got dark but we had torches and some drinks and music, was good fun!! and had a xmas convo with family and bf :) xx

26th We got on the bus to Gympie, was so good to see Emily!! She has a fab car and lives in a nice little scenic torn. Gorg bungalow! Luxury! Vic opened her christmas presents then we headed back to the beach and got attacked by the waves and chilled. Met her famil and then had a ROAST DINNER! woop! we then went looking for wild roos but had no luck, so went back and chilled on the sofa and watched twighlight movie :)
