Arrived in the Cameron highlands Friday afternoon. Got put in a really nice apartment - there's 2 massive lounges complete with tvs and dvd players and a big stereo. Arrived in southern thailand on Saturday morning. Had to get a coach to Krabi where we're staying in so called beach bungalows although its a bit of a walk to the beach! Today was the first proper day of our tour that goes down through Thailand through Malaysia to Singapore. Today we went to Doi Suthep - a Buddhist temple up in the hills surrounding Chiang Mai. Got a songtheuw up the hill, took about 45mins to reach it - we had to go along some really windy roads - felt quite sick by the time we reached it! Plus the Thai driving - i.e. overtaking round blind corners and driving on the other side of the road, didn't help!
