So, day one proper in Sydney. Early start for the Opera House tour. Funny, when we arrived in Sydney I was somewhat underwhelmed by the iconic building, I think because we see the photos so often and it’s SUCH an iconic image that somehow you expect something that dominates. But the harbour ( and of course the bridge) is SO big that the OH is somewhat diminished... however, the tour of the interior completed switched my mind on that. It’s a stunning building, in design, construction and the materials used. I loved it. And our guide, clearly a wannabe opera star, was highly entertaining. The next stop was the Botanical Gardens for breakfast - there is something so relaxing about green spaces in big cities. After a quick pit stop back at the apartment it was the Rocks craft market. I always love a craft market so that was fun. And it leaves me itching to get on with my weaving loom, sewing and knitting
