So, day one proper in Sydney. Early start for the Opera House tour. Funny, when we arrived in Sydney I was somewhat underwhelmed by the iconic building, I think because we see the photos so often and it’s SUCH an iconic image that somehow you expect something that dominates. ... and on to Sydney. Haven’t written for a few days as it’s been a whirlwind and lots of fun. Thursday brought a quieter day. We visited Perth’s Botanical Gardens which are spectacular. It was lovely to see such a vast variety of different plants and the colours in the spring flowers were stunning.
