ok the activity says bus tour - not strictly true - but we've been on busses for tha past day or so solidly so it feels that way...

last update was from bangkok, since then we went on a bus for ages to phi phi islands, where they filmed the beach. phi phi (pee pee) is very pretty but not necessarily kind... the first night after 2 overnight buses the previous nights we were in no state for anything other than food and bed - so that's what we did - oh and a bit of shopping, and decided on our sunset trip for the next day with snorkelling and kayaking...

next day (only full day) up and to the beach - beautiful - water still nice and warm at 9am! don't worry, factor 50 is on and i'm still in the shade, no burn potential. we spent a few hrs like this then went for our trip, bad news, too choppy so we cancelled it. more bad news, i'd still burnt... we went over to another bay on a taxi boat and i fell asleep in the shade - reyn woke me up saying "sh*t nads wake up! there's a storm coming!", ok we leg it to a taxi boat and get caught in the thunderstorm on our way back, cold and hard - hilarious though - all these things are an xperience and i love them for it!

back to our beach and back to our hotel, shower and make ourselves feel human, we even went so far as to apply make up and use the straighteners!! and shed loads of sunburn - bearing in mind the next 24 hours would have lots of bus journeys i went and got a burnt bum and thighs and back!! and feet. made my own version of heads shoulders knees and toes though (bum, thighs and back and feet, back and feet.. sing along!!). let me say with the heat and having to transport my rucksack it wasn't fun, but these things are sent to try us, and if it doesn't kill me it makes me stronger....

out for dinner at a nice little seafood restaurant, crab, stillin the shell. i wish i had more opp at home to learn how to eat crab - i was a messy little beggar, but still it tasted so good!! then to the sports bar where you can purchase a pint of magners for 5gbp, me and reyn had one pint 2 glasses! then off to tiget bar where it's buy one bucket (approx 10 shots per bucket) get one free. the sunburn didn't hurt so bad after - this was a medicinal solution ok?! i saw my first ladyboys and took a pic for them, they loved me and had several pics taken with me, i wonder if they thought i was a lady boy?? this thought has just struck me and doesn't please me!

after lady boys bar off to reggae bar, where there's boxing. firstly kids, not so nice to see even if they fdon't go full at it, next older boys - next drunken public, health and safety doesn't apply out here, not so much of a nanny state one could say! then off to the beach party, much fun but come 1am we're pooped, still not free of nightbus fatigue!!

and that's how the day started, on the way out we sort a ferry back and bus to bangkok, more bus journey, you don't need the details.

bangkok at 6.30am, let's go get break, 2 hrs til our bus to siem reap (where i'm writing from). 1 place open, ppl still drunk from the night before. lots of people in and out up and down, there must be a hotel upstairs... oh no... i think it may be a knocking shop... cue really old guy and young thai... breakfast in a brothel for us then... HAHA!! at least it explains why the food was so god awful! more ladyboys too, they worked here, i wonder how many pick them out... don't want to think about it (i'm that tired wqhatever goes in m head comes out of my fingers). but ladyboy no 1 was loving karaoke, more entertainment!

bus to border, taxi other side of the border, 3gbp nd 4hrs shorter, sharing with an oz couple - they're cool. rock up at guesthousem, it's good. here now typing. dinner tonight then leaving here tomo at 5am to see the sunrise at angkor wat which is the temple where tombraider was filmed, we'll look round in the day, watch sunset then come back, at least that's the intention, we'll see what happens tomo!!
