ok,well this is just an update coz i odn't think i've added since queenstown.

to be honest we flew through the rest of new zealand pretty quickly - we did intend to get a car but then thought for all the money it would save us and the ease of not haing to drive we'd cut out one day trip and hop back on the bus - then we followed said bus all the way up to auckland. we stopped in christchurch again, just overnight, there wasn't oodles to do the first time, then in kaikoura, it rained, didn't do much. we moved on up to picton and got the ferry over to wellington. wellington definitely has city status, i like that new zealand has the beauty factor but also a bit of bustling! from wellington we hit taupo (again overnight) and then on to auckland, we flew out the following day, the result of which i'm now in a hostel in santiago in chile! haven't seen much of the city yet because after what felt like days and days on a plane and not sleeping (i think it actually works out to be 24 hrs of no sleep) we got in and gave in to the need - it's now 11.20pm and i'm wishing i'd had dinner coz i'm hungry but it's dark outside and i'm no fool! never mind, had enough calories yester to last me a week (it's now time to lose the sydney stone!).

not sure what we'll be up to tomorrow, take a wander around, try to sort some transport to argentina maybe, get to grips with our surroundings. either way i'm in chile and i'm safe and i thought i'd let you all know.
