the workshop is over. thank you god. thanks to the help of Mollie, it went off without much trouble and was extremely successful. If I did nothing else for them the entire time...the workshop made it all worthwhile. They now have a new mission statement and timeline of goals and objectives for the next year, 3 years, 5 years, 15 years!!! They all were really happy with the outcome, so hopefully they can follow through on their goals and make even more of a differ...

I would like to start this blog by pointing out how ridiculous kenya is. today I was walking down the street...mind you this is in almost the middle of downtown mombasa....and all of a sudden on the sidewalk there was a goat squirming around gushing blood from where its head had been chopped off. blood was going all over the sidewalk and i had to jump so i wouldn't get soaked in the river of blood. i kinda freaked out...and a guy next to me started laughing and g...

2 more weeks in Mombasa...oh my god where has the time gone!?!?!?! I wish I had more time to write...but I have 3 huge research paper due in 2 weeks...and 2 huges projects to finish for my internships. things here are good. lamu was amazingly beautiful. it was nice to have a quiet relaxing weekend away from bustling Mombasa. I wish that the people I love in my life could be here to experience all these things with me...but in time I'm sure they will in some cap...

today I successfully got a promotion at the health clinic. I am no longer pharmisist...I am now a nurse!! I have decided it is rediculous the things I am able to do in Kenya. I gave immunizations to pregnant women all morning. I'm talking...fill the syringe...clean the arm....shove the needle in and sqeeze out the medicine. I was legit giving shots...and I gotta say...I got pretty good at it. I'm pumped to continue my promotion in the feild of medicine...next thi...

helloooo from mombasa. My lifeh as gotten increasingly busy in the past week. Between work, the realization I have three 15 page research papers due soon, and constant visitors to meet up with I am constantly on the move. Things here are getting easier. I think I am finally at peace with some of the annoying parts of kenyan life and I am just trying to soak up all the things I love, because they are coming to an end soon. I can't beleive I only have 3 weeks lef...
