so. the parentals arrived. we had a fun couple days in nairobi. they experiencd the joy of kenyan family life. we said goodbye. i was sad. correction. i still am sad. i miss my host family like crazy already. i stayed in a nice hotel. i took a shower. i think the whole idea of that much water coming at me at once kinda threw me off guard a bit. but the good news is i got rid of the bed bugs. and am starting to look like a real person again. its weird. being back with my parents i am starting to realize how different i am from before i came here.

this morning we flew into moshi. its good and totally weird to be back. i suppose it is fitting to end this whole adventure the way it began 4 years ago. with my family. in moshi, my first african experience. except this time we are climbing a really big mountain and i am alot fatter. oops. well. i have confidence that we will all be able to summit together! haha. anyhow. for all the friend and family....we are good. matt and emma get in tonight and tomorrow we have orientation. on saturday we start the climb. woo.
