So. It's been a little over a month since i returned from my big adventure abroad and just kind of wanted to conclude this blog and end this chapter of my life. Since being home there has been a huge adjustment obviously. I have consistent running water, a variety of food options and a car to drive me where ever i want, which has been awesome. However, I miss how simple life was there. I was getting tons of excercise walking, i always knew what to expect for dinner, and there wasn't an expectation that i had to look cute all the time. Life is certainly different these days. two weeks after getting home I returned to school and have been taking a class. Jumping from 5 months in Africa to a summer at Elon has certainly been an experience, although i have been happily surprised at how well i have taken it. I really had missed my friends and it has been fun to see all of them and catch up. Coming back i realized how much living abroad calmed me down, and i find myself alot less stressed than i have in the past being at school. i think i just appreciate everything i have here at school and at home in chicago. only one more week of class then back to chicago for a couple weeks to wrap up the summer. anywho...this is it. hopefully there will be another blog up for my next adventure in Belize in January then i'm crossing my fingers for a backpacking trip through SE Asia this upcoming summer for a couple months before i enter the real world of getting a job or going to grad school. yikes. time has gone by fast.
