I arose from my scratcher at about 11 after a very sleepless night as an Australian guy came back at 2am really wrecked and was speaking to himself saying: "You're fool Pete, a fool" Then 2 Japanese girls come in at 4am and have a shower, thanks girls how considerate. Anyway I was a bit drowsy when I got up and sauntered down to Greasy Joe's Coffee House which is owned by none other than Mal from Neighbours. He served us too haha.. It was 43c today and it was unbelievable. I haven't experienced heat like this-crazy. I went to the beach and must have been there for about 45 minutes then I couldn't take it anymore and walked back to the hostel (burning my feet on the molten sand!) St Kilda is a nice place during the day; Italian delis, bakeries, shops but at night it's a red light zone and prostitutes lurk from every corner and otherwise delerict shabby buildings become full of drunken bums and drug addicts. Quite a contrast some would say like night and day (puntastic). I had a Subway; that is my staple food now. I get a tuna footlong with everything except jalapenos, red onion and the sauces(so it's healthy). I went back to the hostel and had an ice cold shower then Ida called so I chatted to her briefly (international calls should be cheaper!) I thought I'd lost my padlock this morning but I eventually found it after accusing an absent dorm mate and frantically searching everywhere..it was under my pillow. The Yorkshire guy comes over and says: "Someone wer't pissed last night" Me, Rob and the others booked our flights with Jetstar to Tasmania, fly out on the 24th at 6 in the morning. Me and Rob went to a bar called the Cushion lounge which was full of crazy locals so we didn't stay too long and then played pool in the hostel with some Kiwis from Auckland. It's funny New Zealanders instead of saying mate always say "Bro". So they were like "Nice shot bro, so how's Glasgow bro? I'm trashed bro" Aussies have mate and Kiwis have bro...
