Neil's Round the World Trip!
Beata walked off into the town while I sorted out all my stuff. I sat on the hostel balcony relaxing and walked into the town with the sun shining brightly and clear blue skies. I feel so refreshed after catching up on my sleep. I walked down to the Wayra bar and ordered a menu del dia. The main course was trout of course! I was slurping my sweetcorn soup when I saw Beata so she joined me for lunch. We then walked around the streets of Copacabana and bumped into the Norwegian girls who were off to celebrate Independence Day (from the Swedes).
I walked up the hill to the cemetery and then commenced an exhausting climb to Horca del Inca (big huge rocks on a hill). I sat on the rocks and let my mind wander while ants explored my feet and ankles. Lake Titicaca is huge and mesmerising with the shimmering of the water in the sunlight.
I returned to the hostel where Beata told me she'd met a German girl who asked her to dinner with some Argentinians. She invited me along and we ate in a lovely cheap restaurant. Everyone chatted the whole time in Spanish, at first I was a little reluctant to speak as the German girl has lived in Argentina for a year and her Spanish is great. However when I spoke I realised they understood ok and there was no need to worry. We stayed there until 11pm and then headed to bed.
