Neil's Round the World Trip!
The bad weather from Sydney followed me to Canberra-it was torrential rain for most of the day. To make matters worse the showers don't have any hot water which was really annoying!!
The weather relented in the afternoon and I headed to the National Museum of Australia after a Subway. The museum looks like a big picasso painting-it's really crazy! Although inside it was pretty cool with all the aboriginal stuff and a big presentation on Australia: The History. There were also some interesting artefacts like a convicts jacket and stuffed kangaroo.
I got mixed up on the buses and ended up in one of the satellite suburbs of Canberra. It took me 2 hours to find the right bus to get back to the centre.
I again made pasta and sauce tonight but the kitchen was crowded (it's communal) and people were stealing the cheese grater etc too many cooks spoil the broth so true especially my pasta ended up burning it looking for a flipping spatula.
I was going to head out but Canberra's nightlife is really bad and the place is like a ghost town when all the politicians, admin etc leave at 5.30pm. I just chilled in my empty dorm (since Noah the Korean left this morning) and watched "27 Kisses" some Russian film it was really good. I gorged on a half watermelon and fell asleep....
