Neil's Round the World Trip!
I woke up thirsty and bleary-eyed. I gathered my belongings together and drove the car back to the rental company. I then got a bus to Sydney's Central Station. I bought my ticket to Canberra and then got on the train. It took 4 hours and went through mainly old N.S.W. settlements and bushland.
I arrived in Canberra and got chatting to an English guy called Rob who was also going to my hostel in the civic area. We got the bus together and drove through the strange, artificial, green parkland and concentric streets. We walked through the precinct past about a dozen different statues and fountains.
We checked in and I had my dinner which was one of those packet soups (think it was chicken noodle) a Swedish girl sitting at my table laughed: "nice dinner". I was really hungry so found the nearby supermarket and made pasta with cheese. I returned to the hostel to use the Internet; which was broken. I then decided to go for a sauna; out of order. I met Rob in the foyer and decided as there was nothing to do, the only solution was to go to the pub!
We ended up in an Irish bar and had a few rounds of Stella.
