The month of August was a slow month for the house building. We left off just before the "building holidays" (which are typically three weeks). Over the past month there have been small additions made to the house that have added up to some positive changes and advances. The next two weeks focus on the roof. Some things are also happening in the house but the big changes to see is on the roof. On Monday June 8th the carpenter's arrived to start the framing of the roof. This is the only part of the house that is framed with wood. HUG ended up being completed 1 month ahead of schedule, that is why there was a little break, as the roofing guys didn't have the time to come by earlier. This week was a short 3 day work week, but the nice sunny weather is back. The second story really started taking shape this week. On Monday and Tuesday, the guys set up the moulds and all of the steel rods and window outlines. The process is the same as with the previous two floors.
