Next we went to Krabi in Thailand, that was a nice long 24 hour bus journey stopping off in bangkok AGAIN for an hour or so. We just headed for a drink before our next bus. Then got on our next bus with no leg room as stupid idiot in front wanted to lye on top of me. Anyway we got to krabi and were shattered we asked this guy how to get to our apartment and luckily it was literally 5metres away so we headed to get some water from 7-11 and bedtime!! woke up mid afternoon and got washed and dressed and went to explore.

Walked down the road and stopped outside this restaurant looking at the menu, i felt something fall onmy and flicked my hair and felt something move...A MASSIVE COCKROACH! I freaked out and it finally disappeared although me and char were proper nervous and itchy the rest of the night.We carried on walking and found a market...oh yes!! also a fair i wanted a go at someof the games but couldnt carry a massive teddy around with me anyway...plus id probably fail so i left it.We saw a guy fire dancing and a big band show, it was a really nice atmosphere and we had fun looking around.I bought a ring for about a pound and we went to this american based tavern type thing where we had cocktails and sat up chatting to the guys there, we again were the only customers.We kept seein guys walk past with like a white powder on them and paint we were very curious as to what it was all about.

The following day was the main day of the Thai new year, we decided to go for a cup of tea and head to the beach...I had my book in my bag and everything.Now thai new year is all about water festivals so when we headed to this cafe the first thing they did was throw buckets of water over us. so we were soaking straight away, we got in there and they said you want beer? we askedfor the menu and it was literally an alcohol menu so we ordered two beers, thats the cup of teas out the window. Then they all came over and threw talcan powder all over us, i asked for a coke as i was thirsty and they just brought the beer. They gave us fruit and this weird chicken stew which i thought looked revolting but char said it was quite nice. Then this big crazy rasta guy came andput talcan powder on his lips to give us a kiss.. urgh...and covered us more in water and powder. After the first couple of beers we were getting in the mood and were dancing with the people there and having a massive water fight outside. People literally drive past in trucks and cars throwing water at each other and me and charhad buckets in our handssoaking everyone...well char kept missing...but she was spot on at not getting them wet!!haha Then later on when we had moved down the road to join with another bar this car went past and char threw her water, there was only one window open that the person wasdoing up and char managed to get the water directly in it...that was rather funny she had made up for her rubbish aims earlier. I threw a bucket of water at a car but let go of the metal bucket by accident luckily it only went under the car, as i dont have the money to fund the repairs haha!! We werevery drunk by this point and there was a guy there that looked like a male pocohontas who kept getting ice cold water on us so we were getting him back.He gave us massages outside but they werent very good and his long hair kept hitting us. There was an older guy that looked like ercan (only em and mich will know this) he was literally him in 20 years so funny. And an older guy with his daughter who was really good at english as she stays there formonths at a time, the olderguy kept bringing my towel over for me so id have to come in from having fun and dry off for a bit...alright dad!!!

It was one of my favourite days so far... so drunk and so much fun and everyone slowly disappeared to bed, me char and pocohontas played pool. Then he got out his guitar and charhad a tamberine and i had the drum and we made a little band...where me and char had no idea what we were doing. He kept asking us to sing a song so i started the family guy song... "we were at the beach,everybody had matching towels....rock lobster!!!" he thought it was a proper song and loved it me and char were in giggles. We soon headed back to the room planning and promising to go back later on but we got into bed shattered and slept till about 1am when we went to shop for food and drink then back to sleep. Phuket Tomorrow....

Krabi and the water festival was amazing!
