Back to bkk for the third time...we're becoming regulars.
This time we stayed in a cheaper version of our other hotel...which was well....cheaper in alot of ways.. but it was for one night so cant really complain. The bus journey was long but the boat journey to chumpon before hand was alright, me and char sat outside and hung our legs over the edge we got to watch the sea and see the sun setting as we came into chumpon which was beautiful. Met a guy called matty and two girls on the boat they seemed nice and were heading for cambodia and we were headed for laos. Also met this irish couple, the guy had yellow shirt on and he seemed to know where he was going and what he was doing so we kept an eye out for him all along. Got to chumpon and before we got our bus to bkk we got some noodles these were gross, that was one spoonful down and soon they were in the bin along with what looked like everyone elses. I actually saw a dog sniff them then walk away ...i think that says it all! especially a thai dog they dont get fed pedigree chum over here...!!
After a long journey we finally got to bkk and they wouldnt let us in as it was 3am and we couldnt check in till 6...we werent best impressed so kept tryinga nd they let us in in the end...we were soon fast asleep. Waking up later to head to send off my broken apad this is somehting that id already gone through one of and on my second, thought it would be handy to have something to access the net on while i was away but it decided to stick and not turn on in delhi pretty much so from then on hasnt worked...sent that back to china and headed to irish bar for a hotdog. We booked our laos tickets and the next day got a coach to Vientiane.. It was a very empty bus. me and char got some good seats with leg room and right in front of the flat screen tv which was showing the social network.. however the volume was really low so had to go by the subtitles...which also seemed a bit pointless when they translated things like "don't you want more friends?"to something like "require, need acquaintances"even yes was translated into of course which didnt make sense half the time... soon gave up on taht and tried to sleep. However there were two annoying swedish girls around us and one canadian all chatting really loudly...at about 2 am when we had fallen asleep, we were woken to the swedish girl sitting behind us shouting into her phone "what what"but as she didnt speak the queens english like moi she sounded more like whaaaa whaaaa stupid screecher, she then goes on to explain to this thai guy she met who she bought the coach ticket from how she cant sleep ....now we cant either thanks u stupid willyhead!!
Anyway got to the border and had to sort out our visas, once wed filled in a form it was back on bus to next part where we had to pay $36 dollars (1 dollar overtime for them what a joke) the woman looked at my passport photo and said you look much better now! i laughed i seem to get that everywhere i go...and its not really a compliment only my family and close friends hwo have seen my passport photo will know how much of a downsyndrome special head i look in it....also why was i wearing a pink turtle neck....its beyond me... Then when eveyrthing seemed to be going smoothly i go to collect my passport chars just got hers the guy just hadns them out...but he chooses that moment to go on a break...im waiting there for another 20 mins while he finishes chatting on his phone in orer to get my passport back. Anyway we then get a mini bus to vientiane and i fall asleep in it. Soon we pull up and get a tuk tuk to our hotel....
