Phi Phi- The most beautiful place i've been!!Loved every minute of it. I feel truly lucky to have been there.
We got there and were met by this guy at the pier who had this big wheel barrow thing and carried our luggage for us to our beach hut. Thank god he was there we'd never have made it in the heat and with all our stuff! Got to the beach hut and the guy tried to blag more money from us we explained the price we'd agreed on online. Booking.com has come in very handy. We didnt even have a nap first as we didnt travel very long from phuket and knew we didnt have very long here. We went to a cafe for a ice shake but no one came to serve us so we gave up and went somewhere else.We could see the beach and the boats and it was stunning so i sent a pic to fred to try and make him jealous! i think it worked.
We paid a couple ofquid to use the pool in this hotel and we had practically our own pool as no one was around was very nice...private car, private tuk tuk, private boat now private pool....yes we know!! haha We stayed there all day and then when our faces became so tight we realised we were a little burnt so headed home...plus the sun had pretty much gone. I stopped off at this salon place on way home to ask about getting my hair done...my roots were pretty bad by now.20 quid...bargain. So we went back to room to shower and fell asleep for an hour or so.I went off to the hairdressers a little nervous to let a thai lady near me with bleach and scissors but desperate. Char was meeting me down there as she had just got out of the shower. So i got my hair done, using a cap which meant every pull of hair was agony on my sunburn. Anyway she did it really well i was very suprised, two hours later, char still wasnt there, i was a little worried as thought she'd only be half an hour. She didnt have my thai number so i knew she couldnt text me. Luckily she'd thought ahead and text mum and she'd text me, The door on our hut wouldnt lock so she couldnt leave,so i went back to the hut to meet her. After about an hour we got it to lock and went out for a corn on the cob for dinner on the street. We then went to watch the man u v man city game and met a man u supporter who wasnt very impressed with the result. The vodka redbull was nice and we watched a fight nearly break out between a bunch of girls when a guy one of the girls was with started snogging her friend..we were very intrigued. We walked home and had to stop off at another bar even though it was closing so char could run for a wee she was very desperate. Luckily our door opened easier than it locked.
The next day we had a boat trip planned and it was a gorgeous sunny day. We went on the boat to maya bay phi phi le where the film the beach was filmed, bamboo island, phi phi don and a couple of others. It was beautiful and we snorkeled around the areas, I heard someone mention sharks so i was soon back on the boat even thought one wasn’t seen the word freaked me out. The waters were crystal clear and the beaches were white sand. Everywhere was so beautiful and we watched the sunset from the boat as well before going back to the island. Char then went to get her haircut by same lady i used and we got dressed and ready to watch the liverpool vs arsenal game. Went to irish bar for this and enjoyed the game muchly esp the last 10 mins or so. Its nice knowing a lot of people i care about are doing exactly the same thing as us at that very moment. :) The bars closed earlish there so we went and booked our journey to Kuala Lumpur and headed for bed as we had another long journey ahead of us.
I was very sad to leave Phi Phi, it was such a beautiful island and i had a great time there.
