Back again...keep getting requests to update the blog just a reminder that in order to be able to write the blog we kinda have to live it first :P

Well the following day we were heading to Chiang Mai, which is north thailand, we booked a hotel thinking we would get the coach about 10 am but turns out the only bus we could get was 6pm so we tried to change the room to the following night, we didnt get a reply whilst we were online so assumed it wasnt possible....we later found out they changed it but we didnt turn up to that either... oh well all worked out in the end.

The journey first though... not the best of journeys but could have been worse, left at 6pm and ended up getting into hotel at half 9 am so nice and long. Sat on the bus and had some weird monk people in front of us who kept walking around...very strange and heard some rowdy welsh boys at the back.. Got dropped off in the middle of nowhere and this truck thing took us and about 10 others to a little guest house. We got talking to the rowdy welsh boys who turned out not to be so rowdy after all. Karl and Ryan both from cardiff and doing 3 months in asia and a month in new zealand. Got to the guest house where we were greeted by this crazy thai man called Chan he was mental! he showed us a room and told us 300 a night for double...we were tired so pretty happy with that i mean 3 quid each u cant really complain. It had a fan (which we eventually got working with help from the guys) and a swimming pool as well as a pool table and ping pong (table tennis table). There was a sign on the door saying DO NOT LET BAR GIRLS COME INTO YOUR ROOM which we found quite amusing. The food there was cheap in fact one day we didnt pay at all but that wasnt on purpose. Anyway we hit the sack straight away and woke up around 2ish to walk around and have a nosy. Found this amazing mexican restaurant, char had a chicken burrito and i had chorizo burrito and we half and halfed (we do that alot since wev been away) also i had a mojito (suprise suprise) and char had a margharita. (however u bloomin spell it) Then we went to explore. Some of the smells in Thailand are incredible some of them on the other hand make me want to cut off my own nose and feed it to one of those tigers we see later on.

That night we were on the internet and i was talking to one of the welsh guys about wheres good to go, he said we will just go explore, so a bit later me and char went to our room and i was in the shower when Karl came to the door saying to Char they were heading into town if we wanted to go... obviously we were no where near ready but luckily he said they'd wait for us. So we got ready in super quick time... well about 40 mins which is good for us to have showers and dry hair etc. Then met the guys out front, we headed out for dinner with Karl and Ryan and another guy called Carl so it was Carl with a C and Karl with a K I could see myself getting confused after a few drinks...or even before. Luckily didnt have that problem for much longer, because after dinner (we got there on a tuk tuk 5 of us on one, had two of the guys up front with the driver driving it....after a fair few beers as well it was very funny but i was holding on for dear life) we went to this irish Bar and met these two american guys there, Dan and DASH...I know you can't even write this stuff how american can you actually get! When they were introducing themselves dan turned to Carl and Carl obviously said Carl (as thats his name) nice to meet you, "Dan, nice to meet you Carl" Then the magic happened, Dan turned to Karl and Karl said "same and pointed at Carl" "Dan nice to meet you Same". It was one of those moments that you can see about to happen before your eyes but you can do nothing but sit there and laugh when it does. So from now on we call Karl Same and he even bough a t shirt with SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT written on it, they are very popular over here... also no money no honey...dont ask me why they're popular...its a strange country where they use ping pong balls in areas one could only imagine... haha i just said one yess im the queen now dont u know!!

Anyway the laughs dont stop there, I wasnt feeling very well AGAIN stupid malaria tablets were making me feel really sick so i couldnt drink alcohol, me and chars went halfs on a jug of beer but i felt too sick so i stuck to the water...i know my mum and dad would be proud of me. Was such a good night though, we were talking to these american guys and one of them stood up and Carl said woahhh what size are your feet and DASH (has to be done in caps lock everytime for effect) said a size 49 and Carl goes woahhhhh im only a 10! I knew it was coming but still funny moment. Also Dan turns round to us and goes so what do you think about the wedding of the century, now this will live with me forever untill i have children and they have children even if they dont know who these people are. Same turns round and goes i dont see why everyones mad on that Katy perry though but you must love her cos your american. I looked at him and laughed and thought that was a pretty funny joke... Ryan then says oh i thought you were talking about the royal wedding...same looks at him as if hes stupid and says no theyre talking about katy perry and russell brand.. I could not stop laughing and he was being deadly serious. What made it funnier as when i explained they were talking about the royal family he asked me not to tell anyone he was serious and then with all level of naiviety looked at me and said, I dont read much but before i came away i saw my mums heat magazine and it said on the front cover the wedding of the century and a picture of russel brand and katy perry. If it wasnt so funny it would have been cute he really got excited that he knew something everything was talking about for once!! haha

This dan guy was being a bit of a weirdo, there was this ginger guy from the wirral in the irish bar and his thai girlfriend, she hadnt played pool before and everytime she went to hit a ball dan tapped the end of her cue and everytime she thought she was hitting him so turned round to say sorry, Her boyfriend was watching him and everytime said to the girl take another shot, when dan did it again i said to him leave the poor girl alone i think he thought he was being funny... then after the 3rd time the guy came over and turned to dan and said if you touch her cue one more time im gonna f***ing kill you!! now this was a little amusing to watch as this guy was so ginger and he kinda looked albino like so he did go very red when he was shouting. The other guys didnt see what dan had done so they were like what the hell no one knew if he was jokin or not in the end carl kept saying you gotta be joking you gotta be joking and the guy laughed. He wasnt joking though which he admitted, he did go abit overboard but at the same time Dan was taking the piss. In the end the guy called matty who had been living in thailand for 4 years and as i mentioned before had no tan what so ever bought us all shots of sambuca and apologised.. so all was well in the end. The american guys left and as they were leaving turned to me and char and said girlssss we'r going back to our 5 star hotel room which has HBO and air conditioning... we were very tempted haha shame they were such idiots....preferred to spend the evening with an Irish and two welsh thank you very much :) All we needed was a Scot! Although never thought id say i needed a scot...sorry christine :)

Got a tuk tuk home and same tried to drive it but managed to scare the bejesus out of us by revving it too much. Decided to stop off at a bar near ours and sat outside with a few drinks chatting. In thailand there is pictures of the king everywhere, everyone loves him like its ridiculous how loved and how many pictures there are of him everywhere, Carl being Carl turned round to this waitress and just simply asked what would happen if the king died? now in england if someone asked that to us obv about the queen we could give a simple answer, this woman (after charlene had to translate as they couldnt understand his dublin accent) over exaggeratted and got really upset saying my king not die! A few days later Carl did some research and found that the king has been in hospital since sept 2009 or something and no one had seen him since...now to me theres something fishy going on obv to the people of thailand the thought that anything could have happened to him is horrific but who knows... i just hope if anything has happened we will be out of the country before people know as there will be uproar (another good word thank youuuu)

Got up the next day at 1pm (nice) and chilled by the pool. Later that night we met same and ryan (carl had gone on a 3 day trek) and headed for some dinner and then to mai thai boxing (again i couldnt drink so i stuck to the water) It was a really fun night, at one point they put people with blindfolds into the ring so 3 people were just hitting whatever they could, the ref got punched alot...was very funny. We went to the same bar as the night before on the way home but this time it was chars turn to be the stupid one. One of the guys made a comment and she came out with..i think you're shooting above your waist there....so funny and then same was talking about prague and she said whats copen hagen like and he said i havent been there and she said prague is in copen hagen, me not having a clue just assumed she was right (i stayed quiet as i am not great at geography ) until the guys pointed out its in czech republic... "i knew it began with C"char said haha. Quality.

The next morning we got up and went to Tiger Kingdom...i'm sure you have all seen the photos it was incredible we got to hug and play with the tigers, well the big ones were sleeping alot but the little one was playful. It was such an amazing experience one of my highlights so far! We went back to the place for lunch and char got to live her dream, when we have been in india and everywhere char really wants to hold the poor ladies baby but never had the chance, Chan just handed her the little thai baby at the guest house. He was so cute (well i assumed he was a he) he kept staring at me and had a little smile on his face, when he started sucking on chars shoulder we figured he was hungry (wed seen his mum breast feed him the day before) so she passed him back, chan had him for couple minutes then his phone rang so he passed him back to charlene, then he started getting a little uncomfortable he was obviously hungry and wanted his mum so she passed the cutie back to Chan. SHe had finally held a baby...such a strange one! char not the baby!

That night me and char walked around the night bazaar its so hard cos i see presents i wanna buy for everyone back home, i saw a hat for Kye, a dress for mia a guitar thing for chris literally everyone i am close to i thought ohhh i wanna get that but i have little money and space which sucks!! Went for a nice dinner of cheeseburger and chips, i am off the malarone now so back on the beer. Then we went to find the reggae bar, on the way there was a rock bar and it was awesome, it was full of sand i dont think they could afford carpet but we got a bucket of mojito and watched this amazing band. We then headed to the reggae bar where we spoke to this american guy who had been away for a about a year and was staying away for another year or so (count yourselves lucky wer only going for 6 months) he was out of it! char had a jd and coke which she was very happy about and i had ...you guessed it a mojito then this thai guy came up to us he was special he was talking about bbc news but kept saying bbc new char was trying to teach him news and i was explaining how they shuffle there paper i have a video of it so il get that up asap it was really funny! Then we met these girls who im pretty sure were off there face on drugs she asked me if i smoked at home and i was like yea...later realising she meant weed and stuff im such an idiot i thought it was a stupid question! I wanted to get back to watch the Liverpool game we thought it was on at 2.45 but turns out we were given wrong time. we stopped off at 7-11 and got this weird breaded pork thing but i mean literally dough from bread didnt look cooked but tasted good, and i got some milk :) i love milk! then we got lost...now by this point we needed a wee so badly we saw a guy with map and he was as lost as us while char looked at his map (she was expecting our hotel to be circled on it) while i stood on the side of the road...some might say on the corner but id say on the side...and got us a tuk tuk, he even directed us but we looked at him like how much, so 40 baht later we were back at our hostel only to realise we missed 60 mins of lpool game but apparently not worth watching anyway. There were about 9 people up at the hostel they were scottish (we got our scots) and were going on trek the next day so we sat up with them drinking beer from 7-11 and watching football. Then Same Ryan and Carl came back and we sat up with them chatting. Same had bought a frickin Man U shirt just to wind me up and decided to put it on. in his words " just to piss u off" then looked at me like i should feel privileged haha. Ryan went to bed and same and i beat char and Carl at pool, Then off to bed it was. We told the guys to wake us up no earlier than10 to say goodbye so they woke us about 11 am we said our goodbyes swapped email addresses and hopefully will meet them in cambodia or somewhere. Char and I updated our blogs at the hotel and read our books before getting the 6 pm coach back to Bangkok. As we left the hotel gave us these book marks, Chars said to Charlene and on the back said love you long time (haha) mine said to jenni and on the back said you will always be in our memory. It was such a sweet thing to do and we loved the place, Nice place 2 best place we've stayed at so far and it didnt even have a tele...im growing as a person!!!
