We packed up camp in freezing temperatures which was pretty miserable! In the morning we went on a walk called Horseshoe bend which had great views of the Colorado river. Then we went to Wal Mart to stock up on beer as we were headed into an area in Utah where there is a high Mormon population and you can't buy any alcohol over 4%! This country is nuts every state has different laws! We also bought some face paints and Ash bought a werewolf costume as we were having a Halloween party at the ranch we are staying at tonight.
We then went to have lunch beside Lake Powell and some of the group went swimming. On the way to the cowboy ranch we noticed the scenery was starting to look like what we expected, we were in the wild west!
When we got to the ranch we were so happy we didn't have to put up tents we were sleeping in a cabin with bunk beds a kitchen and (oh my god!) A SOFA! We then went horse riding which we were nervous about as we had never done it before but it was such fun we definitely want to do it again! Becky's horse was called Apple and he kept stopping to eat and was fat and lazy, just like the rider haha! The only down point was Becky ripped her jeans climbing onto the back of a pick up truck and has now ripped five items of clothing so far!
When we got back we started to drink and get ready Becky painted her face like a pumpkin and made a dress from a bin bag - so elegant!
We had a party in the barn at the cowboy ranch and we got through a scary amount of alcohol and played beer pong, an American drinking game. There were lots of laughs, dancing and it was so interesting talking to the ranch owners, we were pretty jealous of their lifestyle!
