Today dad, Stacey and Sue took a helicopter over the volcanoes so we hit the water to explore below sea level. After getting the gear from Snorkel Bob's we headed south down the coast to Kahalu'u Bay to test our skills and make sure Matilda didn't get washed out to sea with the current. She passed this test and did some exploring over the reefs close to shore. After 30mins we headed back in and on the way got close to a turtle. It was pretty cool. We drove down the coast to see more sights and saw the place where the Hawaiians killed Capt Cook after he upset them. Just around the bay was a place locals call 2 steps. This is because the lava has formed steps into sea. This was recommended for snorkeling so we hit the water again, after Ems slipped and hit the lava. Got some great gopro video of the fish. On the way out of the water Tilds lost a flipper in a hole. Thankfully with Penny's brains and extender arm she got it out. We went back to Kona to shop, visited Wal-Mart - it has everything. Except fresh meat. After an afternoon walk, icecream and a sunset, the girls had a swim and we had a bbq for dinner. Pack up tonight as we fly to Las Vegas tomorrow. Aloha
