After 3 plane flights we touched down in Kona, Hawaii for the first stop on our USA, Canada tour. We made our way to car hire grabbed the cars and hit the road. Yes there is 1 main highway around the big island with a few side roads off it. We navigated our way to hotel on south side of Kona. It was a close call on route as we almost became the Australian float in their Christmas parade. At the hotel Tilds wanted to swim and Penny, Ems, Stacey and Sue went shopping, guess the theme of this holiday. It may have only been for food, but they did get beer, Kona Brewing Co is nice! After pizza in the apartment for dinner we crashed early to catch up on the z's. Tomorrow volcanoes, coffee, black sand beaches, turtles (hopefully) and a waterfall.
