After writing the last blog and only having a banana for breakfast, and skipping lunch, we headed off to the arse end of The Strip to Circus Circus! Now this place is Chav Central, but the American equivalent! Just like us, everyone obviously knew that the food was a bit cheaper than in the plush Casinos!! 4:30 comes and we queue up with all the morbidly obese for the all you can eat dinner!
We tried our hardest, but we obviously did not have the same skill as these regular attendees at putting away the food!! Sasha managed three plates, main, salad and dessert! Ollie managed four!!! Main, salad and TWO dessert plates!! Which meant that he was close to spewing on the walk back!
Today we would have liked to tell you all about the amazing sights we took in at the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon but as is the way for the Muddwats, nothing ever really goes all that smoothly!
So we arose at 6am yesterday to get showered and ready in time to walk 35 mins to our pick up destination arriving there at 7:15am, 15 mins before our "pick-up" time! After an hour of sittin out the front of a hotel on a cold wall we started to realise that something wasn't quite right! Ollie headed off to call the tour company and came back with the news that they had actually been there at 6:15am to pick us up, not the time of 7:30am that shows on our confirmation e-mail!! It seems that confirmation does not have the same meaning here and you have to telephone them after booking to get a pick up time!!
We also got abused by a skank while we sat waiting for the bus!! A car pulled up next to us and a woman looked like she wanted directions, so Sasha approaches and the woman says "if you give us the money for gas, we'll take you wherever you need a ride to?!!" Sasha thanks them for their offer and advises that we are waiting for a bus! The car then pulls away, screeching, with the woman's head out of the window shouting "you f***ing liars" followed by a smokers cackle!! Turns out she was right!! We weren't waiting for the bus!!
So more than a little pissed off, very tired, and disappointed we walked back to our hotel, and basically vegged! All is not lost however as we know that there are still so many amazing things that we are going to get to see on our trip of a lifetime! And so we know the disappointment will be short lived!
Today we start our journey out of Las Vegas and on to Yosemite! Although it is in reality a short distance away from Las Vegas, it's actually going to take us 14 hours to get there!!! We catch the Greyhound at 5:00pm today and arrive in a town called Merced on the edge of Yosemite at 7:00am tomorrow! It saves us the cost of a hostel or hotel for the night and also means we get a full day in Yosemite tomorrow! We're really looking forward to it, and just hope that the insulated tent we have booked ourselves into, is actually warm!! We are also hoping that the common room has some computers that will allow us to upload some more photos!!

The Ely Irvings Well it just wouldn't be a Muddwat adventure if everything went to plan. You have so much to look forward to this will just be a blip. As for Yosemite I was going to say don't leave any spare rations laying around because of the bears but then I remembered there's not much chance of that with Ollie around!
