Wayne's & Bonnie's Travels
We had planned on driving down the morning of the cruise but mother nature had different ideas. A large snowstorm was about to hit the Sierras so we decided to leave a day early. It was a good thing we did. We left early on the 26th and hit heavy snow on I80 heading over Donner Pass. It was a good thing we had a 4 wheel drive Jeep. We had no problem with traction but could barely see the taillights of the car in front of us. Just after we got over the mountains, they closed the highway. The rest of the drive to San Francisco was rainy and cloudy. We parked the car at a garage near the pier and left our major luggage in the car. We took our roller carry ons and walked to the hotel which was about a mile away. After checking in we walked back to the Fisherman's Warf area to sight see and get some seafood. it was cloudy and cool, but dry.
