What a fabulous day! It started with a beautiful 7 hour drive from Carson City to LA. The drive down the East Slope of the Sierras was spectacular. There has been so much snow this year, covering the mountains in a deep blanket. We got to the airport, turned in the car and caught the shuttle to the hotel. We docked early in the morning but we managed to get up early to see us sail into San Francisco Harbor.

After breakfast at the hotel we walked back to the dock area. It was too early to board so we wandered around the Pier 39 area. When it was time to board we walked back to the parking garage to fetch our luggage and then walked to the ship. Check in was easy and we were soon aboard.
