We had a late afternoon flight on JetBlue. It was our 1st time on JetBlue and we really enjoyed the TV on the back of each seat. All was fine until we landed in a heavy thunderstorm in Ft. Lauderdale. We landed OK but when our luggage came our, on of Bonnie's bags was soaked. When we opened it up at the hotel, a Holiday Inn Express, the clothes were also soaked and some had bled on others. One dress was ruined but fortunately the wedding dress was unharmed.

Our flight was uneventful. We were tired from the overnight flight but it was a wonderful trip.

We flew the same day that the cruise started. We will not do that again. We got very close to missing the cruise. Our Northwest Airline flight to Vancouver had a change planes stop in Minneapolis. Our flight from DC was on time, but the connecting flight was delayed. Fortunately there were several others on the flight that were also going on the cruise. We landed in Vancouver about 2:30 and the immigration/customs lines were huge. Princess reps were there waiting...

We used our rail pass to take the train to the airport. Our flights back to Washington were mercifully uneventful. We had a wonderful trip and made us look forward to getting to Europe again.

We had a non stop British Airways flight from Dulles Airport to London Heathrow. It left around 5:00PM and arrived in London early morning on the 21st. It was our 1st time on BA and we were very impressed with the food and service. Bonnie loved the flight attendant's outfits. Neither of us slept well. Just as dawn was breaking, I looked down and could see the green rolling fields of Ireland.
