We docked early in the morning. It was a beautiful clear morning and the New York City looked beautiful from Brooklyn where we docked. We had booked a rental car to drive from Newark Airport to Virginia and the Princess transfer from the ship to the airport. We were supposed to disembark at 8:30AM but we were over an hour late. It took a long time to get to the airport and then the bus driver got lost trying to find the rental car area. A hotel shuttle bus driver was kind enough to take us there. We finally got into the car a little before 1:00PM. We had an uneventful drive to Virginia and were able to stop by to see Shannon and Billy's new townhouse in Lorton. We got to Katie and Farhan's house around 7:30 and were ready to rest.
