This part of Nicaragua is known for desserted surfer beaches. You travel down unpaved roads, past shacks and roaming animals (cows, donkeys, chickens, and pigs often crossing the dustry streets) to get to the various beaches. While driving home one afternoon, Patrick said "Dad, it is amazing to be out in places like this". So we stopped and took a photo, trying to capture just how far off the beaten path we were.
