On to Costa Rica!

One of the things I've been looking most forward to is the physical border crossing between Nicaragua and Costa Rica. It feels like the wild west. You literally have to walk across the border!

We dropped our Nicaragua rental car off about 1/4 mile from the border. Then, we got connected with Elian, who is a border "facilitator". He filled out our paperwork, helped us get expedited in line, and carried our bags. Once we got through Nicaragua customs, we walked the 1000 meters into Costa Rica. Here's Patrick with his important belongings - his skim board and his sunglassess - as we head into Costa Rica.

We had an amazing time in Nicaragua, and are excited about the second half of our journey in Costa Rica!
