Slow morning today. Went with Mal to the Historich Museum. Managed to get lost on the way there and once there was a really confusing museum. Showed Amsterdam's interesting history. In an attempt to look cultured I loitered and attempted to appreciate the paintings. very impressive but still not my thing! Some great exhibits. the more modern history was of more interest to me and spent some time in those areas, good photos and personal accounts. Left and got some lunch, got lost on the way back to the hostel as well! Felt like collapsing and sleeping all afternoon but knew I'd regret it so forced myself up and went to the Waterlooplein Market. Was a little disappointed after all the recommendations but was good to wander about. Had some very interesting things on sale and funky clothes. Wandered back slowly through town and found an internet cafe. Spent two hours updating and booking. Arrived back in the hostel to find Mark and some others in the bar so joined them for a social turbo shandy. Met an american called Garratt and in my best fashion organised his trip for him! Got a hostel dinner again and was really good. Struggling to find veg so had huge bowl of salad as well. Have never eaten so many bananas as on this trip so far! Went to internet cafe to book Garratt's trip and came back to hostel to sleep ready for long journey tomorrow.
