Met other at 10 to discuss rafting. Got a big group together and went to raft shop, stopping for provisions on the way. Got on rafts and started off down the Vlatva River. First bit going down slide thing was very fun and then on was calm sailing. Tied raft to two others and drifted along the river. Went through stunning scenery, forests and hills. Gavin brought along Gertie the guitar and so we were drifting while singing along to some classic songs, a highlight of the trip so far. On the side of the river were random huts that seemed to be bars so stopped at a couple. Better than the Viccy Arms even. The first one had a camp fire so dried off slightly and had some lunch. The second place had the smelliest toilet I've ever used, unbelievable! One final rapid/slide and had arrived at Zlata Kurona where there were buses waiting to pick us up. Think the lads who swam were esp pleased! A great way to spend the day, fun and relaxing. Arrived at hostel about 5 and went straight out. Went to castle, all painted very strange. Whole town in UNESCO world heritage place to give an idea of how great it is. Climbed through castle and got great view over town. Came back down and wandered through the town. Came back and joined the others sitting outside the hostel. Went for dinner next door to the hostel, good cheap food. Came back to find that Scott had lost his wallet in the river and had flipped out completely. Seems to be unbalanced and on medication despite drinking bottles of vodka and gin in a night! Spent eve chatting, packing, writing, using the net and doing puzzles. bed about 11 as v tired from all the fresh air.
