So unlike many many other people we managed to get out of Bangkok. We were very relieved that half the journey was by boat so we wouldnt have to sit on a bus the whole time. Very mistaken! As we took our seats on the boat one of the crew went round handing out sick bags, just a precaution we assumed. Neh. The boat bounced around on the rough waters for three hours as the wave of vomiting spread from the front of the boat back. best way to avoid it was to try and sleep but thats no easy task when you wake up in midair every 3 minutes, ha. The boat stopped at ko pangnang on the way and we figured since we didnt really wanna go to samui anyway we just got off there. So we got to the room and the face collapsed on the bed smelling of vomit and dying of thirst altho unable to drink. After a couple of hours Melinn brought him to the clinic where he got a drip to treat his dehydration - OR NOT! 3 hours later i get a call telling me that hes in hospital on the next island sans appendix. So naturally that cut our ko pangnang experience short.

So here we are in ko samui for a week and i must say we could not have gotten stuck in a worse place, they should rename it Ibiza 2. Not much difference between here and the south of spain (well except of course for the thousands of thai people walkin round but thats just a technicality). Although if you want a nightclub shipped in from drogeda and full english breakfasts for every meal you're sorted! Its not all bad though, we went to see one of the major attractions called 'Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks' which are rocks in the shape of genitals - classy. (see photos if you dare). Thats basically the height of our samui experience thus far, we visit the face then drive round looking for the right waterfall to swim in, haven't found it yet but we're close, i can feel it. We're guna move to the other side of the island tomorrow so hopefully that will be a vast improvement. Then as soon as the face stops lazin about in hospital (getting his appendix out, come on thats a bit of an over-reaction isn't it??) we'll be malaysia bound. Think we'll be giving Phuket a miss after seeing this place, afterall if we really want to experience this again Blackwater is just a couple of hours drive from home.

Well at least the suns out now so we can hit the beach (in your faces!)
