so cambodia was great, we only spent a week there but kinda wish we'd stayed longer. we went to the capital pnom penh for a night but ended up stayin for 5 nights cos twas so much fun. the people there were much nicer than in vietnam, took a couple of days to get to grips with the fact that everyone in cambodia is in fact not trying to rip you off, which was nice. we went to see the famous killing fields when we were there, they found the bodies of 8985 murdered people in mass graves and they have all the skulls on display in a huge momument, quite an experience. that was really the only major event there.
nent we went up north to siem reap to see angkor wat, which is the worlds largest temple (i think).that was quite impressive, went up at 5am to see the sunrise but to be honest we were all templed out by about 12 or so (good thing we didnt guy the 1 week pass). One of the temples we saw was in the tomb raider game so that was worth while seeing, A little cambodian girl about 6 years old came over to talk to me near the stalls and i swear she had better english then any irish 6 year old! gave me a free bracelet and all, she only wanted me to buy a drink off her so i had to of course. there was also a woman there with a little baby in a pram and his head was about twas the size of an adults, that was kinda sad, so i gave her a dollar (every little helps). siem reap turned out to be quite the nightspot with streets such as 'pub street' so we went exploring and saved sleepin for the bus the next morning.
well we are back in thailand now, in ko chang which is a cool island and we are in no major rush to move on yet, stayin in a wooden hut on the beach. half moon party last night, good fun but terrible music. the face missed it as he was in hospital with a snake bite. he got it the night we arrived, we had to bring him to the hospital on the island and they sent him by ambulance to the hospital on the mainland (which involved hiring a ferry out!) i went with him and melinn stayed behind with our stuff, first time i was ever in an ambulance. the room he had in the hospital was way nicer than any room we've stayed in to date-bed, couch, 3 piece suite, fridge, microwave, kettle, vanity unit, tv, dvd and a laptop, he was lucky. i didnt wanna leave but i couldnt leave melinn on his own, who knows what would happen to him. so the face arrived back today and we went round the island on motorbikes (well i had a motorbike and they had mopeds). moght be renting a car 2moro to go to the waterfalls, 20 euro for a 3 litre pickup, nice,
