Time to visit Ireland! Unfortunately we had to be up super early to make our flight...the airport was madness, from trying to check in to getting through security! So busy with a lack of (good) organization. We were lucky to make it to the gate on time and that's with giving ourselves plenty of time. Anyways, after an hours flight we arrived in Cork. We only had a very vague idea of where we were going so Jas and Bek had to carefully plan it out. First stop was Blarney to see the stone and castle, luckily it was close by! That was pretty cool. It was a steep castle with tiny steps to climb, 100 in total. We kissed the stone to bring us eloquence! We left there and had a late lunch at Sneem and followed The Ring of Kerry which was the coastal route to Tralee. Very pretty and we were able to get some good photos. It was a long journey in the car today after an early start. When we arrived at our B&B for the night, again we had to plan the following day and the journey we would take to Dublin. We originally had an idea to see The Cliffs of Moher, but it did not see worth it given the time it would take to go north and then to Dublin. So we decided we would head to Dublin so that we would arrive in good time, and also to limit the travel time (3.5 hours it would take going direct). Jas and Bek had done lots of organizing on this leg. It seems like there are lots of castles, church's and cathedrals in Ireland, and of course pubs but not much else. We went out for a light dinner and were all looking forward to a good nights sleep before more driving tomorrow. So much countryside, that it's starting to look all the same!
