hey, so i'm in dahab for a few days to relax. i started off in cairo and headed for the bazar with my roomie penni. we got hassled alot and bought a few bargins. we got quite good at bargining - the best way is to walk away and they chase you down the street and keep lowering their prices! we went to the pyramids and the great sphinx, they were both great. there quite close to the city so it spoils it abit. we then headed for aswan on an overnight train. we spent a few days there and saw a few tmples and abul sible whgich was excellent. we experienced a camal trek and had dinner in a nubian village. we then boarded our felucca boats and sailed down the nile for 3 days. there's not much to do but relax, swim and get off for some more sightseeing. oneday it got to 56 degrees and we haven't had a day below 40! we disembarked and caught a bus to luxor where we spent a night. we took a donkey ride to the valley of the kings and hiked over a big mountain. we then headed for hugartder. we have to get police escorted convoys everywhere we go so we are getting up at ridiculous hours! we caught a seat cat to shalm el shaek, it was very rough and many were sick! we've been in dahab snorkelling the blue hole and three holes! horse riding tomorrow then off to mount sinai! will add some photos when i get to canada! other than that i'm having an absolute ball and haven't got sick yet - even after brusing my teeth with the water and swimming in the nile... take care megs :) x
