Marty's Adventures
Ok so ....l was a tad bit exhausted last night and I fell asleep at 745pm!!! I woke up at 530! Apparently the heat wiped me out.... So I never heard back from Jucy but then fridge seems to be working....I think the cooling system over heats...and it shuts itself down completely....decided not to go to Brisbane to get it fixed or looked at..... will deal with it as I can, most caravan parks have fridges so all is good! I had a great breakfast and headed over to the Steve Irwin Australia Zoo. I was excited to see the Australian animals and the crocodiles.....little did I know how up close you can get with these animals.....not the crocodiles!!!! They have areas where you walk through and the koalas are hanging in a tree.....and there is a part where if your lucky and hit it right you can pet a ...the kangaroo exhibit is this wide open space with trees and you can walk through and feed the kangaroos....pet them....it is so wild!! I also got to see the cutest little tiger cubs.....so fun! I decided that I would stick around for the wildlife show at noon the head out back on the road.....on my way to the show there was this woman standing holding a koala....I of course went up to her as I seem to have a obsession with Koalas right now and started talking to her....found out she was taking the koala for encounters and pictures.....so guess what I did??? I followed her and got to have an encounter with the Koala!!!! Soooooo amazing!!! After the zoo, with a donation to the animal hospital I was able to have a sneak peak in the back, I watched them examine a baby kangaroo and a koala with a broken leg :( All in all another amazing morning! I made my way for there to a place called Noosa Heads or Nooosaville where I am camped for the night! I went to the main beach and went for a swim and watched the Queensland woman's beach volley ball championships....I also finally found myself a not so flattering short sleeve swim shirt/rash guard which I wanted to have for playing at the beach and snorkelling..... Am settled in to my camp, it is a hot one!! Today I finally broke down and bought an extension cord.....now I can have a fan in my campa and also charge my ipad! The nice guy at the front gave me a nice "quiet" spot at the end under the trees.....he failed to mention to copious amounts of birds in the trees and the big nut ball thingy's falling from the tree!! Should be an interesting night!
