Marty's Adventures
I landed in Leipzig at around 130pm, found my luggage and entered into the airport. My plan was to get cash in the Frankfurt airport, however, I ran so fast through it to catch my flight I didn't have time. No big deal, there will be a bank machine in the airport in Leipzig....right....sure....there is....but my card didn't work!! I tried to ask people in the airport if there was another bank machine as I thought I could only pay cash for the train. There were no other bank machines so I just headed toward the train and was prepared to ask someone for money for the train. Thankfully there was a lady sitting in a booth who spoke no English and somehow I figured out that I could pay for the train with my credit card and I did it through her. So not knowing what I was buying for sure, I gave her my credit card and she gave me a train ticket! Phew! I made my way down to the platform and got on the nice train that promptly pulled in, I then was asked to leave the train as I was on the wrong one....it was the fancy train not the public train! I waited about another 20 mins for the public train and hopped on. I knew the station I needed to get off on so that part was easy! I had Google earthed my walking route from the train stations to my friends flat so that part was easy as well. I found the flat and rung up. The elevator is broken so I walked up the stairs to the 7th floor with my luggage after travelling and being awake for 24 hrs. I found the Savidants! Nolan is now 16 months and was just 11 months when I last saw him. He has grown so much and was not so sure about me!! He would not leave Sarah's arms for quite some time! Once Jon got back from work we went to find money for me and groceries for dinner. Sarah made me a typical German meal of sausage, fries and cooked cabbage. We had currywurst ketchup!!! Soooo yummy! We had an early night, I am not sure how I was still standing with only 4.5 hrs sleep in 48 hours but I fell asleep instantly!! Zzzzzz
